The history of CSM Factory s.r.o. dates back to 1992. At that time, several members of the current CSM Factory management have engaged in the development and the construction of motorcycle frames and chassis components, as well as in designing and tuning of motorbikes.
The first product of the company was the motorcycle CZ ROLAND 125/180 ENDURO built on the CZ CAGIVA chassis components. This motorbike series was developed for the company MOTO YUROPA s.r.o. which manufactured it and exported it successfully in cooperation with MOTOKOV a.s., KOVO a.s., MARTIMEX a.s, KERAMETAL a.s. to many countries in Europe and Americas. The initial product was soon followed by diverse product lines e.g. JAWA RFD 350 and ENDURO JAWA CANDY 350 designed for JAWA a.s.. Another project was the specialised utility tricycle developed and manufactured for Balco s.r.o.. The trike’s features were BALCO chassis and JAWA engine; it could accommodate a Europallet and it had loading capacity of 500 kilograms. The tricycle was specifically designed to address the needs of Turkish market.
Chopper CZ 125/180 and Enduro ROLAND 125 KR with 125 ccm four-stroke engine and electric starter were introduced in 1995.
In 1996 the company MOPEDS came with a model STEWARD MOKICK 50 ccm which had several variations and used several optional engines e.g. MOTO MORINI, PUCH and BABETA. Due to the fact that the bike was a licensed product based on mopeds KORADO, our company was not involved in designing and construction of this motorcycle line, but it was developing diverse body panels and accessories for this model.
After a gradual slow down and ultimately an end of mass production of motorcycles in the Slovak Republic, our company shifted its core activities to import and sales.
The turnaround came in 2000, when the company seized the opportunity and focused on the production of children motorbikes. It has developed a motorcycle minicross Collard XR50 which has been successfully tested in international motocross events in category to 9 years. Tomáš Pavlovič from Hlohovec won the title of International Champion of the Slovak Republic riding our motorbike. In the period 2000-2008, the minicross Collard XR50 bikes were sold mainly in Europe, but also in the USA.
Taking full advantage of our know-how and expertise, we are currently developing and preparing the production of brand new minicross for children from 4 to 15 years. Needless to mention, the new product range will comply with the highest quality, performance and safety criteria. The minicross will be suitable not only for recreational purposes, but also for professional use and motocross racing.
In the near future we plan to expand our business activities as we aim to design, construct and manufacture yet another motorcycle range – scooter for adult clientele.
